The Soup Plantation doesn't seem like such a great deal when the people you actually pay for sleep through the all you can eat buffet.

With mom and Ayden put to sleep by the steady screaming of other people's kids, the rest of us were able to skip the salad completely and go straight to the chicken pot pie stew (the special for the day) and load up on frozen yogurt and cookies.  I woke Heidi up in time to help clean up the kids and accidentally steal one of the high quality plastic water cups to add to our expanding collection of assorted accidentally-stolen cups.

Thanksgiving

Apparently when you get a new cute MacBook your wife can't put it down and let her husband have a crack at it.  This is my first time to check this thing out. It is really cool except for a few things that take getting used to like the lack of a right mouse button and not being able to use the shortcuts for cutting and pasting.  Other than that I think it is pretty dang cool.  Moving on...

We had Thanksgiving at our house yesterday.  This whole holiday thing is a ton of work!  I can't say that it makes a whole lot of sense to me either.  Obviously I understand the whole family component, but isn't it possible to have a good time without the huge amount of work that it entails.  That being said, Heidi put together an amazing little feast with the beautiful table and all (even my Aunt Terry would have been very proud).  She actually got my brothers to stay for a little over an hour... so the food must have been pretty good.
